What Makes a Good Home Business?

I've tried a number of home business opportunities. They all looked good at the time but as with most things in life you have to learn from your mistakes. I am now working at something I love. (That's a good place to start) My business offers a product that is 1/5th to 1/3rd the cost in stores. It is also something everyone uses.

I have my own greeting card business and you can too. Every time I send a card I have the opportunity to change someone's life for the better. We are growing fast! American Greetings (number 1) just announced they were laying people off and closing up to 35 stores.

We started in 2004 and are number 3 in the world. Here is what we have been doing.
2004 Revenue $200,000
2005 Revenue $2.5 million
2006 Revenue $10 million
2007 Revenue $24 million
2008 Revenue (projected) $45 million
2009 Revenue should more than double 2007 at our present growth.
Do you want a piece of the pie?

The best news is we have no competition in Direct Selling. The direct selling industry has grown 91% in the past 10 years. The days of working 40 years and having a gold watch and pension are gone. Wouldn't you like to be a bigger part of your children's lives? How do they feel when you take the time to be at their ball games or school plays? That's the gift of working from home.

Holiday Wishes

Hi to everyone out in blogland.

I want to wish you all a very happy holiday season and healthy wealthy new year. Here are some thoughts for the season.

Oh how swiftly the season can come and go, so don't forget to play in the snow!

It can not be wrapped. It can not be exchanged or returned because it always fits. It does not require batteries or assembly. The gift is friendship and you give it to me every day. Just wanted to let you know that in my heart, I've kept all the receipts.

Peace be with you and your families this wonderful season! Happy Holidays!

Grow Your Business -The Easy Way

Do you want to make more money in your existing business?

Corporations are spending millions on Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) programs. The object of these programs is to create loyal customers that will refer you business. Most of these fail because they don't have an effective way to deliver their message. They use email or form letters. How appreciated would you feel if you got a form letter from your Realtor?

Gaining a new customer takes 10 times the effort of retaining an existing customer. And once a customer shifts loyalties it is twice as hard to win them back.

In today's economy your sphere of influence needs to know you are still around. Professional coaches call it being "Top Of Mind". When someone you know is asked if they know someone who... You want them to think of you.

William James said: "The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated."

We have a tool that will help you keep in touch with your customers and make sure they know how much you appreciate their business. Watch this video for more information.

How to Make Money Making People Feel Good!

I have a story to tell you. This made my whole Christmas season perfect.

A friend of mine and I just helped a group that works with adults with learning disabilities. A year ago they started a project called Stories of Resilience. Each member of the group had to write a story about what they were going to do for the next year to grow. Their Christmas party was last week.

At the party before dinner each member got up and told their story. Prior to the party Darlene and I helped them create 3 panel cards with each persons story as they wrote it including pictures. After dinner Mary Jane Beach the team leader passed out big white envelopes with letters of congratulations and a card about that person. When the envelopes were opened it was like a thousand lights in their eyes. They glowed. Some of the parents were in tears. I can't tell you how good that made us feel knowing we had a part in the joy of these folks.

I hope you all have a Happy Healthy Holiday season.

So You Want To Make Money!

Have you tried home businesses without success? I have, but now I have found a truly unique business that is easy to do. Do you know that over 80% of home businesses are in the health and nutrition fields? Well how would you like a business that has no competition? How would you like a business where your product is less expensive than in the local stores?

I have my own Greeting Card business. Almost every household in the country uses cards. We are a new company and in a few years have grown to be the third largest greeting card company in the world. We are experiencing tremendous growth and have just touched the surface.

We are more than a greeting card company. Our product is the only home business that other home businesses use to promote theirs. We have a system that lets you design your own high quality cards for a dollar. You can design a card and send just one. Try going to a printer and asking them to print one card. We can even send gifts with our cards. The company prints, stamps and mails our cards and gifts for us. We can even do them in our own handwriting all from home on a computer.

Here are a couple of testimonials:

Send Out Cards has been great for me! I have been able to keep up with my family and friends Birthdays and Special Occasions effortlessly. Karen Steele

This card system has helped me create new business by making it simple and easy to stay in touch with my clients. Any business that wants to stay in business, wants repeat business and referrals needs this system. I'll never be without this system again. Diane Walker, Tampa Florida

Saving Money in a Down Economy

If you are like most people these days you are trying to save money any way you can. I know I have been very frugal in the miles I am driving. One of the big card companies did a survey and found the average American sends 10 greeting cards a year, but has a need for many more. In the 1960's Joe Girard became the best car salesman in the country on the strength of sending greeting cards.

Now there is a way to save time and money on all your greeting cards. Whether you need them for business or personal use you can send a card for about a dollar (including US postage). You can create your own custom cards as well. These will still be about 1/3 rd the cost of store bought cards.

This is a card for a baby announcement!

This is a Real Estate card! My business really grew.
